Arsenal go into Tuesday’s clash looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League which now stretches to seven games.
The Gunners face Wolves at Molineux looking to avenge the previous result between the two. The 2-1 loss at the Emirates was not far away from coming at the lowest point in Mikel Arteta’s tenure so far
Arsenal now look to be in a much better place. And with a productive January window now in the rearview mirror, the Gunners may be optimistic that they can secure a positive result.
The big news Arsenal have ahead of the trip concerns Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. The club confirmed on their official website that the forward is back in full training after spending time with his family.
It will be intriguing to see whether the 31-year-old – who earns £250,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – returns to the starting lineup. In truth, it may not be a huge surprise to see him start in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka is also back in full training. However, given that the teenager had been struggling with injury, it may make sense for Arteta to introduce him later on.
Nicolas Pepe has been much more impressive lately. And Emile Smith Rowe is arguably one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment.
There may be further good news with Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman was taken off late on against Manchester United after a nasty fall.
He was not mentioned in the club’s fitness update. And with Arteta suggesting that he expects him to be available (via Football London), it looks like the 29-year-old could start.
With that in mind, here is how Arsenal may line up on Tuesday…
