Erling Haaland is being linked with a big-money move to the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, while Chelsea have also been linked with the Norwegian striker.
Erling Haaland is reportedly set to snub any advances from Chelsea this summer as he whittles down his transfer choices.
Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland is being linked with a big-money move to one of Europe’s top clubs at the end of the season with the Bundesliga side looking to raise funds.
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea were one of the clubs being strongly tipped to land the 20-year-old.
But the Champions League’s top scorer right now doesn’t think that the Blues are a big enough club for his services.
That is according to German outlet Bild, via Sport Witness, who say that Haaland has six clubs he is willing to join this summer. They are Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.
Haaland’s current value is believed to be around £95m, and it would take a huge bid to get Dortmund to part with their most prized asset.
But the German giants face losing him for significantly less 12 months later due to a release clause in his contract that becomes active in 2022.
The news comes as former Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique urged Jurgen Klopp to sign Haaland over Kylian Mbappe as the Frenchman will be “too expensive”.
Ex-Red Enrique wants the Norwegian centre-forward at Anfield this summer and thinks the 20-year-old is a much more realistic signing than Mbappe. https://get-latest.convrse.media/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailystar.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Ferling-haaland-chelsea-transfer-liverpool-23604115&cre=bottom&cip=18&view=web
“My choice is Erling Haaland. We can rule out Kylian Mbappe – he’ll be too expensive. But I think Haaland is possible”, he told Empire of the Kop.
Enrique continued: “He’s so good in the air – he’s a beast. Can you imagine Trent and Robbo crossing balls into the box for Haaland? Wow!
“They would get another 20 assists each per season. He’d be another dimension for us and is the kind of player we should be going for.
“Haaland might cost £100m, but we spent £75m on Van Dijk and that’s what it takes. You can guarantee City will spend £100m-odd on the striker who replaced Aguero.
“If you think about it, the only one of our forwards who’s good in the air is Mane – so a striker like Haaland would be my priority this summer.”
